DIY: Throwback May 2014

Hello, God bless you. Today I'm gonna take you all the way back to May of 2014 to my baby's first birthday party. A Mickey Mouse Splash Party! This was an all DIY party!

I had been planning for months this amazing Mickey Mouse vintage/rustic inspired birthday party for my baby who was turning 1 year on the month of June. I decided to organize everything and celebrate his birthday a month early simply because his older brothers and sister always go on vacation for the summer with their family.
I can honestly say that all his party decorations were unique because I handmade them myself. Everything from the invitations to the "Happy Birthday" banner, the fans, the cake pops, and even the cake topper were all DIY. I had so much fun making everything. Of course it takes time to do, but I really enjoy doing stuff like this.

It was an amazing and such special time spent with loved ones..

Here's some pictures that my sister was able to capture of my baby's awesome birthday party.

Here's a little video my sister Lizzie made for my baby. Go and check out her blog for amazing posts at http://www.thekindhearted.com/

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and video. If you have any questions as in how to make any of these please let me know in the comments section and I will try to recreate the DIY on here and on my YouTube channel as soon as I can. Thanks for visiting.

Airsoft Shooting With The Guys

Hello and God bless y'all. Okay so this past weekend I decided to grant my husband his wish, for me to play airsoft with him. I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty fun. It made me wish I had my own airsoft gun. We went to my in-laws house all the waaay to Lucerne Valley to play, just because they live in a home where they have an insanely amount of land full with bushes which seemed more than perfect for the battle.

Anyway I vlogged to show my experience.

Hope you guys enjoyed this short video. It's the first video up on my YouTube channel go right over and hit subscribe as I will be posting more videos of my airsoft experience and other stuff that I love to do. Thanks for stopping by. Feel free to comment below and let me know what you guys think.

Chocoflan Recipe

Winter, the merriest season of the year. Oh how I love this season. Hello again and God bless you. We know that the holidays can be overwhelming specially with all the Christmas shopping, family gatherings, work and to top it off, if you're a mother of four (like me) it can get pretty tiring at times. It seems like there is no time for the kitchen, but I have this amazing and super easy dessert recipe that I guarantee is going to blow your and your guest's mind. Chocoflan! Yes, you read it right. I know it sounds like the most difficult thing to bake because you only see them so perfectly layered in the grocery stores but believe me you can make it as perfect as that and even better because it's homemade. If you love flan and chocolate cake as much as I do, you're going to love this recipe.
How fun! Let's get started.

INGREDIENTS:

  • Nonstick cooking spray or butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • large egg yolks (Tip: use 3 whole eggs instead of egg yolks for a firmer flan)
  • 1 can (14oz.) NESTLE La Lechera Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 can (12 fl. oz.) NESTLE Carnation Evaporated Milk
  • 1 pkg (18.25oz.) devil's food cake mix (or any chocolate cake mix of your choice)

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Move oven rack to the lowest position. Spray a 10in. bundt pan (or any of your preference) with nonstick cooking spray or butter. Place a roasting pan filled half way with water in the oven.

Heat sugar in a small, heavy-duty saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until dissolved and caramel colored. Quickly pour onto bottom of prepared pan. Spread to cover the bottom evenly. (Be careful because it can be really hot).

Mix egg yolks (or 3 whole eggs), sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk in blender until well blended.

Prepare cake mix batter according to package directions.

Pour flan mixture over caramel. Slowly add the cake batter over the flan mixture. Place it inside the half water filled roasting pan inside the oven.

Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until inserted wooded toothpick or knife comes out clean.

Carefully remove pan from water. Let cool for about 30 minutes. Invert to a serving dish.

Enjoy!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post. Let me know if you have tried this recipe and what did you think about it.

You Have A Purpose

"When people saw a barren woman in Sarah, God saw the mother of all nations. When people saw a poor young shepherd in David, God saw a mighty king of Israel. When people saw a poor prisoner in Joseph, God saw a powerful Prime Minister of Egypt."

So never mind what people see in you. You're a great person in God's eyes and He has great plans for you and your entire family, plans to give you a great future. YOU HAVE A PURPOSE!

I know there may be some times in life that you might feel unimportant, unworthy, sad, lonely and without purpose. At one time that was the cry of my heart, I would ask: what is my purpose God? After everything I've done, how could you ever use me? I'm not worthy of You. The lies of the evil one kept on running through my head repeatedly telling me that I was worthless and that there was no hope for me. But Jesus tells us in His word that those words come from the father of lies!

God says in Jeremiah 1:5  "Before I made you in your mother's womb, I chose you.
Before you were born, I set you apart."

When I decided to give my life to God and started my journey with Him, I slowly started understanding how great and big His love is towards us. He taught me His truth and made me feel loved and with a purpose. He chose me! Out of millions and millions of people in the world, He chose me! And you too. The quote above is an example of how God doesn't see who you were, what you've done or where you've come from. He created you and He wants to use you.

Don't ever think that you are not worthy to be used by God, He is just waiting for you to call onto Him. He will answer.

This short message had been on my mind for a while now. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Hope it's a blessing to you. God bless.
